Ice and Fire fills Minecraft with dragons and mythical creatures that can turn an ordinary journey into a dangerous expedition. Fire dragons roam warmer regions, ice dragons hunt in frozen lands, and nocturnal lightning dragons attack with powerful electrical blasts.
Dragon Hunting and Exploration
Adult dragons generate naturally around the world. Their roosts and underground caverns contain valuable treasure, but entering these locations means facing a creature capable of burning, freezing, or blasting an unprepared player. Dragon skeletons can also be discovered in deserts and harvested for bones.
Defeating dragons provides scales, bones, eggs, and other materials. These resources can be crafted into weapons, tools, and protective armor. Dragon eggs offer another path: players can raise, tame, ride, and equip their own dragon instead of treating every encounter as a battle.
Mythical Creatures and Equipment
Dragons are joined by hippogryphs, hydras, gorgons, cyclopes, sirens, trolls, sea serpents, death worms, cockatrices, pixies, ghosts, and other creatures. Each has its own habitat and behavior, so exploring forests, oceans, deserts, and underground structures carries new risks.
The Bestiary records useful information about discovered creatures and helps players understand the mod’s systems. With new enemies, locations, treasure, armor, and tamable mounts, Ice and Fire supports both long survival adventures and fantasy-focused modpacks.
