Immersive Engineering introduces industrial machines, power generation, tools, and large processing systems with a retrofuturistic design. Its equipment uses visible moving parts and practical connections instead of compact futuristic cubes.

Power Generation and Hanging Cables

Electricity is transferred through cables stretched between connectors. Power lines can hang between buildings, cross factory floors, or run along poles, making the energy network a visible part of the base. Different cable types are used as the amount of transferred power increases.

Energy can be produced with water wheels, windmills, biodiesel systems, and other generators. Their performance depends on how they are built and placed, so creating a reliable power supply requires more planning than placing a single generator block.

The industrial style continues through metal scaffolding, treated wood, steel structures, transformers, capacitors, lamps, and control equipment. These blocks allow factories to look functional while keeping every cable and machine accessible.

Large Multiblock Machines

Many machines must be assembled from several blocks before they can operate. The Crusher is a large structure with rotating wheels that processes ores and materials. Items can be dropped onto its conveyor and collected after processing.

The Excavator is an even larger machine built around a rotating bucket wheel. It consumes a considerable amount of power but can extract mineral resources from deposits beneath the ground. Building one requires space, materials, and a stable energy network.

Conveyor belts help move items between processing areas and support automated factory layouts. Additional equipment provides options for crafting, refining resources, and improving production.

The Engineer’s Manual explains recipes, machine layouts, power systems, and progression inside the game. It can be crafted with a book and a lever, making it the main reference when assembling complex structures.
